Normal restart delay or thermostat demand already satisfied
Symptom guide
Why is my AC outdoor unit not working?
The outdoor unit may remain off during normal delay or low load, or because of lost power, communication, PCB, capacitor, fan, sensor, refrigerant protection or compressor faults. Confirm cooling mode and wait through normal delay. If it never starts, cycles abnormally, hums or trips power, switch off and arrange diagnosis.
Understand the symptom
AC Outdoor Unit Not Working.
Start with evidence.
Report whether the indoor fan runs, whether the outdoor fan or compressor does anything, and whether the issue is constant or intermittent. Outdoor units may be difficult to access, so send a safe photo of the installation before booking.

Supply, fan and relevant electrical conditions are tested safely.
Identify protection or failed component
The technician separates an external control issue from refrigerant or compressor-related protection.
Direct answers
AC Outdoor Unit Not Working,
explained clearly.
Use these answers to prepare useful information for diagnosis—not to open or repair the unit yourself.
Can the indoor unit run when the outdoor unit is faulty?
Yes. The indoor fan may operate even when the outdoor system is delayed, unpowered, protected or faulty.
Should I pour water on a hot outdoor unit?
No. Switch the AC off and allow it to cool naturally. Water near live electrical parts is unsafe and does not fix the cause.
Can you service a unit mounted outside a high floor?
Access must be assessed first. Work is accepted only with safe, suitable access and any special arrangement agreed in advance.
These symptoms and causes are general information, not a remote diagnosis. Do not open electrical or refrigerant panels. Parts, refrigerant work, price and repair time are confirmed only after inspection.
