Why is my AC blowing warm or hot air?
Warm air can result from fan or dry mode, a high set temperature, an outdoor unit that has not started, restricted airflow, control or sensor faults, refrigerant problems or compressor trouble. Confirm cooling mode and room closure, then observe whether the outdoor unit starts. Continued warm air needs diagnosis rather than automatic gas charging.

Why does the fan blow before cooling starts?
Some units run the indoor fan during a normal compressor delay. Cooling should begin after the protective delay if the system is healthy and demand exists.
Does warm air mean the gas is empty?
Not necessarily. Settings, outdoor operation, controls, airflow and compressor issues can produce the same complaint.
Can direct afternoon sun affect AC cooling?
